Melony New York

Melony Mazzeo is a stylist and designer in East Williston, NY, who has been designing jewelry and clothing for high-end boutiques and large chains like Bloomies for 20 years. Most recently, she found her niche creating unique gowns and special occasion dresses.

After selling her merchandise to retailers, Melony made a bold decision: she decided to pull her clothing from other people's stores and she opened a showroom in her own home. This saves her clients money (Melony can charge less by eliminating the middle man - the retailer) and it saves her clients time (they can see ALL of Melony's merchandise in one location).

New Vintage

There's something about fabric with a vintage feel that just looks rich, luxurious and classy. The Isabel Toledo dress Michelle Obama wore at yesterday's Inauguration ceremony had a vintage, brocade look. And we loved it!

If the thought of wearing an an entire dress made of vintage fabric to your next Mitzvah feels like too much, a vintage handbag is always a good option. It adds just a splash of the look and feel.

Extreme Balloon Design

We cannot get over what ballon artists like Brian Asman of Balloons Equal Fun and Asi Cohen (who owns a balloon company based in Israel!) can do with a little plastic and air. We love the caricatures Brian does for party guests and the dresses Asi makes (some posted here). Maybe they will inspire you for your Mitzvah planning!

When it comes to figuring out if your event will be balloon-friendly or not, Brian offers this advice: Please keep balloon sculptures away from sunlight, heat, sharp objects and mean people. Length of an event is usually not an issue. Some installments are meant to last for days or even weeks. In this case, a small team of artists needs to be on hand to check the sculpture every morning and make any necessary repairs.
