Posted by MMIT Erica: So, before the holidays, we wrote and blogged about couture cakes. We showed amazing photos of cakes that just seemed too gorgeous to eat! Well, since this past weekend was my daughter's first birthday, I was feeling inspired from seeing those phenomenal cakes, and decided that instead of ordering a cake (like I usually do) I would make one! I enlisted my 4-year-old to help, and we tackled the ever-popular "Barbie cake." I am posting a photo of the result. Let's just say, I have a new respect for those high-end cakes!:)
